I, Robot

The story takes us fast-forwards through the city of chicago in the year of 2035, when almost all of human-being tasks has been replaced by robots.

There's a homocide detective named spooner (will smith) who fairly hate robots because of his past. One day, on his way back home, he went through a car accident. There was a girl who also trapped in a car next to his. Her circumstance was more critical than he had. But the robot logical calculation the percentage of his chance of survival is higher (23%) than the girl's had (11%), so that the robot save him instead of her. 

That's doesnt make sense for us as a human. if we're facing that circumstances maybe we choosed the girl to be saved first than him. because we have feelings while robots only use logical calculation to overcome an action. At that time, people get too dependent with the robots.

A robot can't replace every-aspects of a human-being life, no matter how advanced or smart they're. yes a robot was built to help people works easier, but robot is just a robot, you cant put them in the same level as human. that's what Spooner's thought.

The robots and technology was beyond our imagination. 
Almost all major aspects in human live 'they' handled. There's robot for delivering your mails, housemaids, trashman. etc.  They can walk, talk, and response us.

This brilliant robots are made by a massive company named USR. Their magnificient technology made almost all the activities and production aspects are automated run by machines and controlled by 'the brain' of this company called VIKI. 'She',which practically a computer also, controlled almost every asprects of the company. But of course the owner of this company is a human. so a robot made robot. 
Each robot that had to obey this three laws :
1. a robot may not injure a human or, through inaction,
allow a human being to come to harm
2. a robot must obey orders given it by human
beings except where such orders would conflict with the first law
3. a robot must protect its own existence as long as such
protection does not conflict with the first or second law.

The story goes when there's a phone for Spooner reporting that the number-one scientist on that company, Dr. Lanning
'the creator' of the robot, is suicide. In Dr.Lanning last will, he wanted Spooner to investigate his dead. Dr. Lanning leave 'a clue' next to his dead body, he wants spooner to investigate why'd he decided to suicide himself, that doesnt make anysense. 

Spooner believes that a robot had been murdered him. Spooner went to Dr. Lanning's office accompanied by Dr. Calvin, the robo-psichologist. While discovering his office to find some clue, he 'met' a robot who 'different' with the other NS-5 series. This robot is way smarter and had 'his' own thought.  'He' tried to shoot Spooner with a gun. It leaves Dr.Calvin in doubt because 'his' acts against the robot law. 

This robot try to escape from the offices, Spooner chased after 'him' and got him injured. In every robot programme, if they got injured they had to cure them self in a manufactory. So, Spooner and Dr.Calvin went to the manufctory to arrest him.

Finally, they get this uniqe robot. They took him to USR head-quarter and had him investigated. While Spooner investigating him, like investigating a human-being criminal, he told him that he had name. This robot called him self  as sonny. Sonny also asked Spooner why'd he blinking his eyes with his partner. Sonny keep asking question as if he is a human-being. . Sonny is different with the rest of his 'brothers' that had been produced. He had his own thought, he has will, like human. It's makes Spooner considering again his hatred with 'robots'

During the investigation of this case, Spooner had bizzare-difficulty. The 'clue' that Dr. Lanning's left leads him even sure that he wants to show him that there's something wrong with these robot 'things'. And he found out that the last key Dr. Lanning's mystery suicidal is Sonny. He's the key. And He also found out that Dr.Lanning creating Sonny also to help him.

In the end, we will found out that its VIKI who made Dr.Lanning killed himself. Shocked huh?

Asking Why? Then You have found out yourself :) Actually this movie is kinda old but yet i found it quite-interesting and had brilliant effect. Very recomended to watch :)

this movie presents a magnificient technology with super interactive interface that really helpfull in some major aspects in our lives. Like VIKI's had, how she can controlled and manage this whole town, even 'she'able to reduce the traffic. Even our goverment couldnt able to manage the transportation issues in our country. We should have VIKI for Jakarta.
The technology was well-developed that almost perfect, the interface's really interesting and there's almost 0% error or malfunction.
Not only attract by its fancy look but the ease of its technology that made the product "understands" what's the user want.
That's what scientist tried to develop nowadays. That's the technology we are looking for.
